Purchasing Vessels

TYPICAL PHASES OF SALE OR PURCHASE ARE AS FOLLOWS:

STEP 1 - INFORMATION AND ORIENTATION

We talked together about your requests. After examining your vessel, we can advise you about the selling price.

STEP 2 - CONSULTANCY

Consultancy services include variety of information in the field of our international and inland river traffic. We will be happy to advise you on financing, pricing, purchasing, buying a boat and other vessels.

STEP 3 - SEARCH

In consultation with you, we advertise or search for the right buyer or the right vessel within our international network and beyond. Our wide network in river and maritime traffic ensures maximum possibility of finding a vessel to your liking.

STEP 4 - INSPECTION

As soon as a potential ship or vessel is found, we schedule an inspection meeting with all interested parties.

STEP 5 - NEGOTIATIONS

After a positive inspection, a potential buyer submits a proposal for purchase. We advise you throughout the negotiations. A solid, well thought out negotiating strategy can make or terminate the agreement. Upon acceptance of the offer, additional arrangements will be made, such as delivery status, delivery deadline, financing period, any other arrangement.

STEP 6 - INSPECTIONS

An inspector is appointed for the various checks of the condition of the vessels that are on offer.
The necessary technical inspection of the hull is performed.
An independent appraiser draws up a complete report on the ship.
An authorised inspector estimates the movable parts of the vessel (main engine, mobile actuators, generators, etc.) in order to get an overall insight into the condition of the engine.

STEP 7 - PUBLIC NOTARIES

When all the inspections have been completed and agreements have been reached, a meeting with civil law notaries in Europe and Serbia is scheduled. A transfer of ownership deed and the mortgage deed are drafted by the civil law notary and the documents are signed in his/her office. At this point, the sale or purchase is a fact.

STEP 8 - HANDLING

As soon as all legal issues have been completed, we process all ship documents. In this final stage, the following ship documents are transferred: tonnage certification, book with calibre, certificates, navigation log.
